Guest speaker: Dave Jolly of Earthquest Canada will be talking about “Asters and Goldenrod”. Dave is the author of the book “The Asters & Goldenrod of Ontario”. He will have copies available to purchase at meeting for $35. Proceeds from the sale of the book will go toward the production of an updated book on the plants of Elgin County.

Guest speaker is Jeremy Bensette who completed 2017 Ontario Big Year birding by beating Josh Vandermeulens list by 1 species. The final total was 344 species. Jeremy travelled 90,000 km last year to reach that goal. Along the way he has been a great supporter of young people with an interest in birding. Sure to be a great talk and fabulous meal.
NATURE TOUR OF PORT BURWELL PROVINCIAL PARK
Saturday, October 6th at 10 a.m.
Meet at the park administration office at 9 Wilson Lane, we will then travel to the park gates for free courtesy passes.
Dave Jolly, last nights guest speaker has arranged for the club to go on a tour of the wild flowers at Port Burwell Provincial Park. The walk will follow the Ravine Trail and then to the beach. It is suggested you bring a lunch.
